Scouting Report:

Evan Carter has everything that anyone would want in a solid overall prospect and is a big steal of the 2020 Draft. Carter has a sweet left-handed swing and hits to all fields with authority. He’ll be more hit over power, while mixing that with his speed and patience at the plate, he’ll fit well at the top of any lineup. In the end, Carter has risen quickly and has become a staple among top prospect lists, the Rangers have some solid prospects coming through the system and they look to be a a very special team when its all said and done.

Scouting Report:

Owen White is one of the more underhyped pitching prospects in all of baseball but he’s shown mass amounts of potential since being drafted 2018. His fastball sits 93-95 and shows good late life. His secondaries include an impressive curveball, above-average changeup and good slider. Overall, he’s an easy #2 in any rotation, with his stuff and control, he’s gonna be a good pitching piece for years to come.

*No Stats for the 2022 Season*

Scouting Report:

As a prep pitcher, Porter’s fastball reached as high as 97. Porter didn’t pitch in the ACL after signing with the Rangers and made his debut as a 19-year-old with Down East. His fastball has been sitting in the low-90s and hit as high as 95. His fastball does have heavy sink and he can pound it inside. His slider and his mechanics add deception for Porter and he can fool hitters with his change of speeds. He’s started off an efficient strike thrower and should develop above-average command.

Scouting Report:

Leiter was arguably the best pitching prospect in the 2020 draft and since then he’s taken a step back in development. Overall, his stuff is solid for his age and he has the potential to be an impressive arm for the Rangers. 2023 has shown his massive strikeout totals but the home run ball has continued to hurt him. If he can keep the ball in the yard and get his control intact, he could get to his frontline starter potential.

Scouting Report:

Harris is one of the more underrated prospects in all of baseball. All he’s done is hit since being acquired from the Athletics for Mike Minor in 2020. Harris, is known for his hit tool and speed at the top of the lineup. 2023 could be his cup of coffee year and 2024 would be his prototypical starting year with the Rangers. The end product is an everyday outfielder with speed and some pop.

Scouting Report:

The Rangers signed LuisAngel Acuna in 2018 for $425,000. Acuna has the potential to have loud power at a premium position. He’s already posted exit velos around 107 mph throughout the 2022 season. Acuna has an interesting profile and neither his hit or his glove wow anyone, but he hits the ball hard and has a strong arm at short. Realistically with Seager and Semien manning the infield for the Rangers, Acuna will most likely transition to the outfield by the time he’s ready for his callup.

Scouting Report:

Mitch Bratt has some major potential as a starter going forward. Bratt’s fastball sits low-to-mid 90’s with a killer curveball that he can spot down regularly. His changeup is also an average offering with his slider becoming a decent offering as well. He has average control and his stuff plays up due to his deception in his delivery. Bratt is someone to watch in this system and has impressive stuff for a 19-year-old pitching prospect.

Cueva was one of the top international free agents from the 2020-2021 J2 signing period and he’s been impressive so far. He showed well in the Arizona Complex League, displaying an above-average hit tool and some pop in his bat as well. Cueva has some massive projection and looks to be a rising prospect in the Rangers system. His ranking in this top 10 can seem a little aggressive but Cueva has all the tools to become a solid shortstop prospect.

Scouting Report:

Anthony Gutierrez projects well at the plate as a .265 hitter with 20+ homers and could be a stolen base threat as he continues to develop. He’s an aggressive base runner who’s not afraid to take an extra base but will have to get better reads on throws from the outfield. Gutierrez gets good reads and his speed plays in center, that he should stick there moving forward.

2022 Stats

Scouting Report:

Foscue was a rising draft prospect when the Rangers took him in the first round in 2020. Since then, he’s been a fast riser and one of the most consistent bats in the Rangers system. He’s a bat first prospect as he’s a subpar fielder and most likely has a future at second base or DH. In the end, even with his defense and arm being below-average, his power will be his carrying tool.
