Below, are some highlights from over the summer showcase months and the recent PBR Super 60 Showcase, where Braden Montgomery put all his tools on all sides of the ball on display. In the box from both sides of the plate, showcasing that untestable arm from the OF, touching 99 MPH, and even hopping on the mound showing the complete package he is.
Final Thoughts
Throughout his young baseball career, Braden has put on so many different hats. As I mentioned, he hits pitches, plays solid defense, and even has played the infield throughout his younger days, and has looked natural at all of them. Once this young man puts his entire talent and focus, likely in the OF and in the batters box, his game will elevate to the next level and truly start turning into the player he ultimately will become.
Braden Montgomery will be on each and every teams draft boards fairly high. He is a dream come true for any team sacrificing a 1st or 2nd Round selection knowing the type of person they are getting on top of the product on the field that comes with it. A potential face of the franchise who knows his role in this game is bigger then just the stats he puts up on the back of his baseball card.
Whatever the future holds for Braden, whether that be the MLB Draft and turning pro, or a pitstop at Stanford for a few seasons, the future is extremely bright for this young man and I’m excited to see continue his development.
