Final Thoughts
The athleticism paired with the ability on both sides of the ball are a dynamic pairing that is tough to come by. One that projects to hit near the top of the order and hit for power and ability to steal bases, stick at a premium position, and bring a ton of energy to the field everyday.
Kahlil Watson has consistently impressed throughout the summer circuit and into the spring. He has reportedly added some strength to the frame as he prepares for his High School season which has been delayed in North Carolina due to Covid-19.
This is a special talent. Likely the 3rd High School Shortstop off the board in the 2021 MLB Draft. But with the talent of that trio of prep SS, I would expect all 3 to be of the board in the top 10 with a legitimate chance at all 3 going in the top 5. One of the most talented prep SS classes in draft history and Kahlil is a big reason why.
