1. Adael Amador 2B | Hartford Yard Goats (AA)
20-Years-Old | Bats: S | Throws: R | 6’0″ | 200 lbs. | ETA: 2025
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 70 | 50 | 55 | 55 | 50 | 7 |
Scouting Report:
Amador is not only the best prospect in Colorado’s system, but one of the best in the MLB and one of my favorite prospects as well. His swing is smooth, and his bat path is able to generate lift while not losing any bat speed. He’s shown the ability to hit the ball to all fields while possessing good plate discipline, and his footwork and athleticism make him an above average defender, although I do think his arm will limit him to 2B in the future. Amador’s future is bright, and playing in Colorado will only bolster his offensive profile.
2. Yanquiel Fernandez OF | Hartford Yard Goats (AA)
21-Years-Old | Bats: L | Throws: L | 6’2″ | 200 lbs. | ETA: 2025
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 55 | 55 | 50 | 50 | 55 | 6 |
Scouting Report:
Fernandez has been an under the radar stud since signing with the Rockies in 2019. His raw power has been showing more and more apparent with each season. The 21-year-old advanced as high as double-a but looked overmatched in his small sample size there. Overall, the Rockies have been aggressive with him and a repeat at Double-A Hartford isn’t out of question. Fernandez is one name to watch in 2024 as a massive rising prospect across baseball.
3. Chase Dollander RHP | ACL Rockies (ROK)
22-Years-Old | Bats: R | Throws: R | 6’2″ | 200 lbs. | ETA: 2026
| FB | CB | SL | CH | Control | Role |
| 70 | 55 | 60 | 55 | 50 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
Dollander begins his pro career already sporting two plus pitches, including a plus plus fastball that can touch triple digits. His delivery is smooth with a clean arm action, creating good deception when he throws his offspeed stuff. As with any young arm, his control will be something to keep an eye on as he begins pro ball, and pitching at Coors Field always poses a challenge, but as long as he can command the fastball, the slider has enough bite to give any hitter fits and project Dollander as a future top of the rotation starter.
4. Zac Veen OF | Hartford Yard Goats (AA)
22-Years-Old | Bats: L | Throws: R | 6’3″ | 190 lbs. | ETA: 2025
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 55 | 50 | 55 | 60 | 50 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
Zac Veen showed some regression in his development in 2023 before his season ending wrist injury, but the tools are still there. If he can come back healthy in 2024, he most likely will repeat Double-A, or possibly start in A-ball for rehab. Veen’s hit, defense, and speed still put him in a top 10 spot despite falling some. He’s got good bat speed mixed with nice bat control and the potential to be a legit stolen base threat. If he has a bounce back 2024, then the risk from this injury will die down a bit and his prospect stock should go back up.
5. Dyan Jorge SS | Fresno Grizzlies (A)
20-Years-Old | Bats: R | Throws: R | 6’3″ | 170 lbs. | ETA: 2026
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 45 | 35 | 50 | 55 | 50 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
Sporting a lanky 6’3”, 170 pound frame, Jorge has a lot of strength left to be developed. Assuming it does happen, there could be more power in the tank, but as it stands, Jorge is a toolsy SS with a fluent but very long bat path. He lacks in the bat speed department – another benefit of adding more strength – but does possess a line drive approach and the ability to go the other way. When he does get on base, he’s a plus runner, and has an average arm from short. Jorge is definitely a name in the Rockies system to keep your eye on, because these next two years will be crucial for his development and the pro player he will end up becoming.
6. Sterlin Thompson OF | Hartford Yard Goats (AA)
22-Years-Old | Bats: L | Throws: R | 6’4″ | 200 lbs. | ETA: 2025
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 50 | 40 | 50 | 55 | 50 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
Thompson’s swing is short and compact without too much lift. He’s a true line drive hitter, but I do worry about his bat speed and his ability to handle pitching at higher levels. I think this can be fixed by making an adjustment in his load sequence, possibly by shortening up on his leg kick. He’ll be able to find some gaps at Coors Field, but the lack of bat speed and poor discipline prevent me from being super high on his future.

7. Benny Montgomery OF | Spokane Indians (A+)
21-Years-Old | Bats: R | Throws: R | 6’4″ | 200 lbs. | ETA: 2025
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 55 | 45 | 55 | 55 | 50 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
I think Montgomery’s offensive profile has a ton of upside. Right now, his swing can get long and choppy, leading to more ground balls and swings and misses, but I think as he continues to grow into his body and adjusts his swing to higher level pitching, the power numbers will increase dramatically. He also needs to learn how to be more selective at the plate, as he is very susceptible to chasing offspeed pitches. In the field, he’s shown good jumps on fly balls with an average arm. I expect Montgomery to fill out his frame effectively and develop into an everyday big league outfielder.

8. Jordan Beck OF | Hartford Yard Goats (AA)
22-Years-Old | Bats: R | Throws: R | 6’3″ | 225 lbs. | ETA:
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 45 | 60 | 50 | 55 | 50 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
Jordan Beck broke our X account when he hit a nuke at the 2022 Shriners Classic and the video went viral with over 300,000 views. He’s got excellent raw power that’s been translating nicely and will look very good in Colorado. He runs well for his size too and should steal a handful of bases each year. Beck’s bat comes with risk however, as he has an aggressive approach and will chase.
9. Drew Romo C | Albuquerque Isotopes (AAA)
22-Years-Old | Bats: S | Throws: R | 5’11” | 205 lbs. | ETA: 2024
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 40 | 40 | 70 | 50 | 70 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
Drew Romo gained after a lot of hype after putting up impressive offensive numbers in his first season of pro ball. However, he projects to hit like a typical catcher but that’s not where his value will come from. Romo is one of the most athletic backstops you’ll find and can make highlight real blocks and make blocks that don’t seem possible for any other catcher. He’s also got a cannon for an arm and will gun runners down at a high clip. Romo reached Triple-A by the end of the 2023 season, so if he performs well enough at the plate, we should see him in Colorado’s lineup sometime in the second half of 2024.
Here’s the some video of Romo from his time at Arizona Fall League!
10. Cole Carrigg UTL | Fresno Grizzlies (A)
21-Years-Old | Bats: S | Throws: R | 6’3″ | 200 lbs. | ETA: 2026
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 55 | 45 | 55 | 50 | 70 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
Cole Carrigg might have the most interesting profile in the Rockies system. While he’s listed as a catcher by most, Carrigg was able to play multiple positions in his pro debut including center and short, and let’s not forget he pitched some at San Diego State. He looked impressive in center showing good range and jumps and could easily transition there full time if he’s not able to beat Drew Romo out for the catching spot. Carrigg impressed at the draft combine and made a throw north of 100 mph. He hits from both sides of the plate as well and shows a good eye and solid bat control.
