1. Kyle Harrison LHP | San Francisco Giants (MLB)
22-Years-Old | Bats: R | Throws: L | 6’2″ | 200 lbs.
| FB | CB | SL | CH | Control | Role |
| 60 | 50 | 60 | 45 | 45 | 6 |
Scouting Report:
Kyle Harrison made his debut in 2023 and showed some of his potential in a limited sample size. He possesses a mid-90s fastball with a devastating slider that should help him rack up a lot of K’s. Harrison looks like he could be a long term mid-rotation pitcher for the Giants but will need to mix in more of his secondaries moving forward.
2. Carson Whisenhunt LHP | Richmond Flying Squirrels (AA)
23-Years-Old | Bats: L | Throws: L | 6’3″ | 209 lbs. | ETA: 2025
| FB | CB | CH | Control | Role |
| 55 | 55 | 60 | 55 | 6 |
Scouting Report:
The second left-handed pitcher on this list and Whisenhunt is another deceptive, high strikeout arm. With his good three-pitch mix, he’s already looking like a mid-rotation arm. His best pitch is his changeup that plays extremely well off his fastball. He could debut at some point in 2024, but 2025 looks like a more realistic timeline for his debut.
3. Marco Luciano SS | San Francisco Giants (MLB)
22-Years-Old | Bats: R | Throws: R | 6’1″ | 180 lbs.
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 50 | 60 | 50 | 45 | 55 | 6 |
Scouting Report:
Luciano is another Giants prospect who made his debut during the 2023 season. It was a bit underwhelming but his plus-plus power potential still has yet to be tapped into, and it is exciting to think about once he consistently gets 500 ABs in a season. Luciano had a max exit velo of 111.8 mph and averaged 93 mph in his small sample size. Another promising aspect of his debut is that he stuck at short instead of shifting to a different position.
4. Bryce Eldridge OF | San Jose Giants (A)
19-Years-Old | Bats: L | Throws: R | 6’7″ | 225 lbs. | ETA: 2026
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 50 | 60 | 45 | 40 | 60 | 6 |
Scouting Report:
Bryce Eldridge is a big bodied outfielder who’s also going to get a chance to pitch. On the mound, he sits in the mid-90s. He didn’t get to pitch during his time at the ACL, but he was able to show off his loud power. In the video below, you’ll see why he’s projected to generate around 30+ homers a season. Defensively, Eldridge is nothing special and will stick in right field where his arm will work best.

5. Walker Martin SS | ACL Giants (ROK)
19-Years-Old | Bats: L | Throws: R | 6’2″ | 190 lbs. | ETA: 2027
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 55 | 50 | 55 | 55 | 50 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
Martin looks like a solid pick in the 2023 draft as he shows a smooth left-handed swing that’ll lead to solid hard-hit rates in the future. He shows a good feel for the barrel mixed with solid athleticism. While he has yet to debut, he should get some time in the Arizona Complex League but with his tools, we could see him as high as High-A by the end of 2024.
6. Reggie Crawford LHP | Eugene Emeralds (A+)
22-Years-Old | Bats: L | Throws: L | 6’4″ | 235 lbs. | ETA: 2025
| FB | SL | CH | Control | Role |
| 70 | 55 | 45 | 45 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
The Giants recently made Crawford predominantly a pitcher and the stuff speaks for itself. His upper 90’s fastball and wicked slider make him a potential high strikeout rate arm and while he definitely has the stuff and mentality of being a starter, the short bursts in the bullpen could make his stuff explode and make him a quality reliever going forward.
7. Grant McCray OF | Eugene Emeralds (A+)
22-Years-Old | Bats: L | Throws: R | 6’2″ | 190 lbs. | ETA: 2025
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 40 | 55 | 55 | 80 | 50 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
Grant McCray looks like a legitimate stolen base threat possessing good speed and athleticism. He’s got good bat speed and has been north of 100 mph with his exit velos. If McCray can make more consistent contact moving forward, he would have plenty of opportunities to produce runs with his elite speed.
8. Mason Black RHP | Sacramento River Cats (AAA)
24-Years-Old | Bats: R | Throws: R | 6’3″ | 230 lbs. | ETA: 2024
| FB | SL | CH | Control | Role |
| 60 | 55 | 45 | 45 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
Mason Black had a solid 2023 campaign and is among one of the better arms in this Giants system. Black, uses his deceptive arm angle and his fastball/slider combo to get consistent whiffs. The Giants have developed him as a starter so far. However, his stuff would play extremely well in short bursts out of the pen. Look for him to contribute at some point in 2024 as he’s already debuted in Triple-A and showed some massive strikeout stuff.
9. Hayden Birdsong RHP | Richmond Flying Squirrels (AA)
22-Years-Old | Bats: R | Throws: R | 6’4″ | 215 lbs. | ETA: 2025
| FB | CB | SL | CH | Control | Role |
| 60 | 60 | 60 | 40 | 45 | 5 |
Scouting Report:
Armed with a fastball that’s hit 97, Birdsong has a larger frame and an ability to generate whiffs. He’s got plus deception with his ability to use any of his pitches aside from his changeup for outs. His curve and slider generate a lot of swing-and-miss and bad swings in general. He almost never throws his changeup, and will need to implement it more as he develops. His command can also be inconsistent and sometimes his pitches can get away from him, so there is some reliever risk that comes with him. No matter where he ends up, Birdsong looks like a guy who will rack up plenty of strikeouts in his career.
10. Wade Meckler OF | Sacramento River Cats (AAA)
23-Years-Old | Bats: L | Throws: R | 5’10” | 180 lbs.
| Hit | PWR | FLD | SPD | ARM | Role |
| 60 | 40 | 55 | 55 | 50 | 4 |
Scouting Report:
Meckler is an intriguing prospect as he’s already debuted after being picked in the 8th round in 2022. Meckler has displayed some solid gap-to-gap power and a good ability to hit to all fields. One of his better attributes is his ability to put the ball in play and rarely strikeout. 2024 is the year Wade Meckler should showcase his talents more in San Francisco and run away with a starting position going forward.
