Walker Janek has been a starter on the Sam Houston Bearkats since he was a freshman in 2022. He’s shown promise at the plate and very good athleticism behind the dish. Fast forward to 2024 and Janek is now looking like one of, if not the best catcher for the upcoming draft. He moves very well behind the plate and shows athleticism on both sides of the ball. If Janek can learn to go opposite field more with his homers, his power could end up improving as well.
