<p>This latest Scouting Report takes an in-depth look at D.L. Hall of the Baltimore Orioles who still has some room for improvement but could become a staple in the Orioles rotation for years to come. </p>



<p>He is currently ranked 4th in our latest <a href="https://prospectsworldwide.com/2020/07/21/orioles-top-20-prospects/"><strong>2020 Baltimore Orioles Top 20 Ranks</strong></a>, Hall and <a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=rodrig000gra&;amp;utm_campaign=Linker&;utm_source=direct&;utm_medium=linker-">Grayson Rodriguez</a> will form a nasty 1-2 punch for the Orioles in the future. </p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Pitch Breakdown</h2>



<p>The videos below display the best of Hall&#8217;s repertoire that consists of a fastball, curveball, slider, and changeup. </p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Fastball </h2>



<p>Hall has always had a good fastball but his control has always been subpar on the pitch. However, this start, his mechanics and arm speed allowed for Hall hitting the corners quite well. Including, this fastball that was clocked at 96 MPH. It&#8217;ll be interesting to see him in Spring Training as his control as of late looks like it has been coming around on his fastball.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Curveball</h2>



<p>While both his slider and changeup are solid offerings his curveball has plus potential and has plenty of late bite allowing for it to be his main strikeout pitch. It&#8217;s normally thrown in the high 70&#8217;s and a majority of the time Hall sequences it good enough to where he freezes the batter with it. Overall, this might overtake his fastball as his best pitch but to have a fastball/curveball combo of this caliber is something special to see from a top pitching prospect.</p>

<p><a rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=hall--000dl-&;amp;utm_campaign=Linker&;utm_source=direct&;utm_medium=linker-">DL Hall</a> has the stuff and poise of being a top of the rotation arm for the Orioles and with his potentially lethal four-pitch mix he should have no problem missing bats long term.
